servicing the public since 1978.
Owner Ricky Spofford grew up in the business. He
worked for his father Charles Spofford (founder of
Spofford's Excavation & Construction) as a young
adult in New York. His father later pasted away in
1990. Ricky than decided to continue the business his
father had started in Freeport, New York.
Spofford's Excavation & Construction continues to be
a busy and profitable business but Ricky always
wanted to move back to his native town. He decided
that the business would do well in Deer Isle also. In
2001 he relocated his business to his home town of
Deer Isle.
Spofford's Excavation is a reliable and well established
company that is willing to help you with your
